Bullet cameras are extremely adaptable security cameras and are the bread and butter of the security world. Many have both day/night viewing. The quality of a Bullet Security Camera is based on two metrics: Chip Set and Resolution. The higher the resolution the sharper the video quality. Chip-sets in a bullet security camera range from a quarter inch (1/4″) to to a third inch (1/3″). A larger chip-sets means the CCD image processor can take in more light, resulting in better video quality. All these factors play a role in the price and performance of each bullet camera.
Bullet Security Cameras got their name for their size, being some of the smallest cameras around. They are easy to install, light weight, and flexible. This means that they can be used for a variety of purposes and are not difficult to install.
Flexibility is the name of the game for bullet cameras. They are great cameras for both indoor or outdoor use. They can withstand hot temperatures (Usually up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit) down to very cold ones (such as -30 degrees Fahrenheit). Many have a rating that declares the level of hurricane conditions that they can withstand as well.
Bullet Security Cameras also utilize both color and infrared video capturing methods. Many models have sensors that know when to automatically switch between the two. Infrared cameras are a type of black and white video capture that allows one to see in the dark.
Choosing a specific bullet camera model can be difficult. Here are some things to keep in mind: if a bullet cameras has 12 or more LED lights it should not be used indoors. This is because powerful LED lights can wash out the infrared sensors by reflecting off of flat surfaces. A bullet camera with that many lights was meant for larger spaces.
Because of their flexibility, bullet security cameras have a great deal of use in security systems, however they do have one issue that must be addressed. You do not want to use a bullet security camera near any reflective surface, such as glass windows, tables, certain large metallic objects, or walls with metal based paints. This is because reflections of the camera’s lights can cause a bullet camera’s infrared sensors to malfunction.
You may need to also make another determination when selecting a bullet security camera model; there are two types of lenses available. And although most models can use either, this is not always the case, so if you want maximum flexibility it is important to purchase a model that can use both fixed and variable focus lenses. A fixed lens allows for one viewing angle, and a variable lens allows the security personnel to adjust for different distances.
Because of their flexibility a bullet security camera can empower security experts to have many options in designing a security system without having to purchase many specialized products. All in all, bullet security cameras are the most effective and economical solution to a security system. – 23596
