Do you know what a Fiber Trailer is? Well, I didn’t until recently. Fiber trailers, also known as Folding Trailers or Cable Reel Trailers, are the trailers used to transport and tighten cables and fibers in construction sites (see below). I found out about them a few days ago, when the power company was replacing the power lines passing above my home.

Picking around the web, I found quite a bit of information regarding this type of trailer. Among all the sites I visited, there was one that caught my eye: Asher & Sons. Although the website isn’t too flashy, the services they offer are really impressive.

Asher & Sons stocks hard-to-find, specialized vehicles, like High-lift Snorkel Fire Trucks, High Line transmission cable tensioning and pulling trailers, Chipper box dump trucks, insulated buckets of all types, High Line Insulator Washer Booms, and even occasional new or late model equipment that gets released by municipalities or utilities. This is in stark contrast with many other sites where you can only find the more common tools, making it difficult to get the right tool for the job.
